Before long he was giving wordy kickings to Donald Trump (“the Trump Lout”), Douglas Hogg (“the Douglas Pig”, re that moat-cleaning expense claim), barristers, footballers, the red tops, conceptual art installations and regional accents. Jonathan Meades was as amusing as an eloquent bar-room rant BBCIt was like listening to an irritated, but very eloquent man in a bar: amusing.
